To start my blog off, I would like to applaud and give
credit to each and every single participant from every group. I truly believe
that everyone did amazing and that everyone took their time and put effort into
polishing and making these presentations as good as possible. Although some of
us might have had issues we overcame them and delivered an amazing group
project.
Group 1, Chapter 3
In my opinion, group 1
did not have any cons about them. This group was very well organized, and I
liked the way that they carried themselves throughout their presentation. Their
presentation spoke about the many factors that impact our society and how we
see the people around us. I like the fact that they mentioned how
discrimination is not always a physical factor and can be done in many ways. The
one thing that I liked the most about this group was that they used the method
of doing their presentation partly live and partly pre-recorded. They also
included their insight on their topic, not only reading information from the
book or their presentation. This showed that they actually understood what they
were talking about and that they put the effort to learn about it. They were
also very mutual with their work, they all worked together to make their
presentation fit each topic and not make any drastic changes. This group made
sure to use very eye catching elements to catch our attention and it worked! I
was hooked on this presentation the whole time. Overall, I really liked their
presentation and they way they expressed themselves.
Group 2, Chapter 9
This group had such an
amazing presentation. I really liked their subject; in my opinion they had the
best subject. Their subject talked about helping people out and checking up on
the people around you. This group talked about the many ways you can help
people around you and how you can also help yourself. They spoke about different
kinds of support groups and ways that you can reach out for help to better your
situation. This group was also very wholesome and nice.
Group 3, Chapter 10
This is the group in
which I presented. We had a couple issues and setbacks, but we all got through
it and delivered a good presentation. Our
presentation pretty much spoke about leadership and how a leader can help
everyone in a group be a better person. This chapter also touched up on the
fact that a leader is not just a bossy person who pushes people around. In
fact, a leader should be the one who helps the group reach its goal and guide
them, not just spoon feed them the information or tasks. I learned that leaders
also have many responsibilities on their backs. They are responsible not only
for how they carry the group, but for each individual performs. In my opinion,
my group executed this presentation very well. We all played our part and
worked as a group so our presentation did not feel out of place.
