 Presentation Summary

    Group 1 spoke about intercultural communication, they dived in on talking about defining culture and values, also explaining the sub sections of values like real value and ideal values. The group also talks about dominant cultures and examples of dominant culture in our society, and other factors that play a role in our society like race, ethnicity, sex, gender, religion, and etc. They also explain how things are changing in our society and how we should start behaving towards this new change, by explaining that things are changing and we should learn how to adapt to it instead of being against it so in other words to be open minded and not closed minded. 

 

    Group 2 presentation was about communicating in groups, they talk about how groups are formed in naturally and the types of groups that are formed like families. The group also touches on the characteristics of a healthy group, like team based activities, being cohesive, having norms and also having group rules, and they told about presenting ideas to the group and the process of forming a group and what traits are good in groups to connect.

 

    Group 3 was my group and we spoke about leadership and solving problems as a group, we talked about the definition of a leader and different types of leaders, we also talked about the different types of people in a group and giving roles to the group to keep an organization of who's doing what. My group also spoke about different types of leadership responsibilities, we talked about different things you should do before giving a group presentation like having a checklist. And how groups should decide on things, we also talked about group dynamics and how presenting should be as a group.
